Bank Holiday Three Floor Slimes – the Goth Floor will be open.
Vampire Connexion is having a Vampirates party before midnight. £5 gets you into Slimes too.
After a slight break, the bottom floor of Slimes will be open a fair bit over the next month. Loki, Vicky Fenbane (that's me!) and Fad will be playing a selection of Old Goth, New Goth, Darkwave and Dark Indie. The floor has had somewhat of an update in the past couple of years and you can you can expect to hear: All Gone Dead, ASP, Bauhaus, The Beauty of Gemina, The Birthday Massacre, The Crüxshadows, Christian Death, Cinema Strange, Clan of Xymox, Danse Society, Diary of Dreams, Diva Destruction, Fad Gadget, IAMX, Joy Division, Lacrimosa, London After Midnight, Merry Thoughts, Project Pitchfork, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Rosetta Stone, She Wants Revenge, Siouxie, Sisters, Specimen, Tanzwut, The Marionettes, Unheilig...you get the idea
If you are an old Slimes regular who is put off by the rise of glowy EBM or a Slimelight virgin who wants to hear new music by current Goth bands alongside the best of the oldies you should check it out and enjoy some of the cheapest drinks prices in London and two other floors of fun all at the same time! £5 members £8 guests. Free if you go to a pre-Slimes gig. The best value for money Goth night in London!
Finally a someone said it! I'm suprised there aren't more members in this community. So where the hell else in london do you go now that the heart of the scene has been ripped out and stomped on? Where do you go now that slimelight is full of latex-wearing teenyboppers who listen to Covenant and VNV Nation?
Does anyone know where/how to find out about power industrial/nefolk gigs in london?
Incidentally, I will be at that unholy venue to see Whitehouse Saturday... Current Mood: discontent
Right...new community...no rules, moan as much as you want.
